About
Ekaterina “Katya” Ozerkov is a Russian artist and traveler raised in Portland, Oregon and now based in Atlanta, Georgia. Her work is grounded in a deep passion for knowledge, cultural understanding, and meaningful human connection which help shape both her creative practice and her professional pursuits. A multifaceted creator, she’s built experience across a wide range of fields, including theater, museums, events, entertainment, news publication and residential life, adapting easily to new roles and environments. Artistically, she specializes in cross-stitch bead embroidery, a medium that allows her to engage with and honor her cultural heritage.
Beyond just her professional life, she enjoys spending time with close friends and family, and she seeks opportunities to be outdoors, whether hiking, traveling, or simply exploring new places. Driven by a love of discovery, she rarely turns down an adventure or a chance to learn something new.
She is also deeply interested in genealogy and family history. Over the years, she has undertaken significant archival and historical research, building an extensive family tree of more than 900 individuals. This work has strengthened her connection to her roots and continues to inspire her artistic and personal growth.
