Meetings of Friends of the Museum-Archive
The Friends of the San Francisco Museum-Archive of Russian Culture Club was founded in the fall of 2008, the year of the Museum's 60th anniversary.
The goal of the "Friends of the Museum" club was to foster connections between the Russian colony in San Francisco and the Museum-Archives, as well as to provide financial support to the Museum. The initiative to create the club came from Yuri Andreevich Taral, Vice President of the Museum-Archives. Margarita Kvetoslavovna Menyailenko, a PhD in history, was proposed as the club's organizer.
The younger generation of the Russian Diaspora has had the luxury of learning about the past of their fathers, mothers, grandfathers and grandmothers from the mouths of representatives of the Russian Diaspora, as well as becoming acquainted with the activities of the Central Public Archive of Russian Emigration in San Francisco from the mouths of its employees.
Starting with the 11th meeting, video recordings were also made. Since 2022, the Museum-Archive has been uploading the video archive to our Museum's YouTube channel: YouTube_MRCSF
